Physician Services
All physicians licensed in Louisiana are elegible for staff membership and to treat their patients in our facility. If you do not have a physician or if your physician does not visit nursing facilities, our staff will assist you in finding an attending physician.
Skilled Nursing Care
Spring Lake offers extensive care payers sources or private medicare, medicaid, and private insurance. Make an appointment with our Administrator or Social Worker to discuss eligibility.
Wound Care
For patients who have chronic wounds that are difficult to heal, mobility and independence are severely affected, altering their quality of life. Difficult to heal wounds can result from injury, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, complication following surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, congestive heart failure, arterial or venous ulcers, and many other conditions which compromise circulation. Spring Lake's wound care nurse and therapists recognize the importance of prevention and assess patients at risk for early signs of tissue breakdown and followed to assure that wounds do not develop.
Social Services
The role of the Social worker is to evaluate the social needs of each patient admitted, to formulate a written plan, of care, refer patients and families to appropriate team for the development and review of the care plans. The social worker conducts pre-admission screening, tours, and orientation of new residents and families. Case conferences are scheduled on a quarterly basis to monitor the needs, concerns, and services of the resident for continuation or modification of plan of care.
